Does anyone know what material the lid is made out of? I managed to crack a big chunk out of mine tonight

Any certain types or will regular acrylic work? I did some searching and I know there's "laser safe" acrylic, but I wasn't sure if I needed to get that (as it's considerably more expensive).

Just spoke with FSL support and asked if I could repair the lid with regular acrylic- they responded with this:

"The lid is indeed simply acrylic.

Any clear acrylic will block the wave length of the laser."

They actually responded very quickly with a very clear answer, which was great.

How did you take a chunk out of it?

I was being a little careless. Some of my extension framing got in the way of the hinge bolts, so I was trying to pull it out of the way a bit, so I grabbed it up near the hinge. I'd been doing this for several days now and I grabbed and lifted it a bit quicker than I should've, and it broke off the back-right corner near the hinge. Not a huge deal to fix, but a bit of a pain nonetheless :)
